Really, nothing since June? That just can't be! This will never do!
I have been reading - although not nearly as much as I should be. And I do have a few additions to bring me current. Lemme tell you, working 134 hours of overtime in one month on top of your regularly scheduled 4/9's and a 4 is exhausting - but SO worth it to realize you are A. helping a group who really needs it and B/ reaping the financial rewards right before vacation starts :)
The other day someone posted on a spouse message board of which I am apart and asked what your top ten list of favorite books of all time contain. I posted a quick list of what I could come up with off the cuff. Its amazing how over the years the "Top ## Books of All Time" Lists change overtime. 15 years ago I would not have thought Harry Potter would be included. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed Harry Potter and who doesn't love the story of Edward and Bella finding their way with each other into forever, but I don't consider them literary greatness. But like many would say ~ Opinions are like Aholes, everyone has them and they all stink! Im sure mine do too!
Either way - in belated Celebration of National Book Day - here are some of my favorites of all time!
Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte
Message from Nam by Danielle Steel
Gone With The Wind by Margaret Mitchell
Snow Garden by Christopher Rice
Homefront by Kristin Hannah
The Help by Kathryn Sockett (my first book club book)
Knitting Circle by Ann Hood
Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy
Where The Red Fern Grows by Wilson Rawls (from my childhood)
and.... Well Ill have to get back to you on the And. There are just so many to choose.
