A MATTER OF TRUST - Lis Whiel
This is the first of the Mia Quinn series. It was a very typical prosecutor / cop relationship book. It flowed really well with the exception of the characters of Mia's children. I think they needed more development and their stories seemed a little tossed in just because rather then tying them better to Mia or a situation. Gabe's story started to form, but the main incident he was faced with was not tied to his original storyline with Colleen. Id like to see more development there.
The story of the death of a King County prosecutor and friend of Mia Quinn, Colleen was interesting. Just when I thought I knew who killed Colleen, I was surprised. I will say by the end I had figured it out but it must be my investigative mind.
Nice summer read!
12th OF NEVER - James Patterson
I keep saying I am finished with James Patterson, but Im so invested in the series I keep going. There were a bunch of things that made this book wrong. Cindy/Richie's relationship, Claire's medical examiner position, June showing up out of the blue and this weird serial killer/cop drama. I didnt care for it and I feel like its time for the WMC to come to an end or get some new blood.
