  • Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn is a mind twisting book following the relationship and marriage of Amazing Amy and Able Andy aka Amy and Nick.  They have a dark relationship.  On the day of their anniversary, which oddly enough is my birthday.  Amy disappears.  With the police involved, it quickly turns from a random act of violence to the finger pointing directly to the husband.  Is Nick guilty?  Ill tell you this much - he is guilty of something alright!

Amy's character can only be described as a self loathing psychopath!  Or at least that is how I view her.  But I must admit of the two characters, I did like her best.  Maybe because of her dark side.  Nick is a spoiled mama's boy who comes across exactly as he should at most times.

The book takes some twists and turns, some predictable, some not.  Im not at all shocked at the ending, but I didnt like it.  I loved the book but honestly I wanted to see them both go down.  But the end fits the characters.  After reading this book I hope youll see how meant for each other they are!
