DEAD CONNECTION: ELLIE HATCHER SERIES #1 by Alafair Burke
I have been really into Marcia Clark lately, and on her facebook I saw a book discussion for August featuring a selection by Alafair Burke. I had never read anything from the author, so I thought I would see what I could find from the library before I plunge in and buy a Nook Book. Luckily for me, there were two available. I downloaded this book and began my journey into the writings of Alafair Burke and the complicated life of Ellie Hatcher, Detective of the NYPD. Ellie has a storied past with a policeman father presumed to have committed suicide. This story plays well into the set up for the current story line of a serial killer, credit card fraud, dating service, and finding love herself. I finished it in two days. I plan to get the next after I read the selections Marcia Clark is having discucssions about on her facebook page.
More books to come for the month :) 12 days in and Im down 5 more books for the month. Looks like July is going to be a good reading month for me!
