Anna Godbersen - The Luxe Series

If you enjoy Young Adult series - this is a great one.  It is based back in the late 1800's and I learned about this series from my bestest oldest friend Angela.  We were in Vegas for my Elvis Wedding Extravaganza (IM ELVIS OBSESSED)
We were walking around the hotel and she was telling me all about this series.  Its not usually something I would be into since its set so far back in time (Im a Post World War I kinda girl).

This book reeled me in!  It has family secrets, arranged marriages to hide illegitimate children, upper crust girls falling in love with the wrong kind of boys and a nasty little Vixen named Penelope that I wanted to choke because she is such a bitch! (Secretly I love characters like this because they make me feel something).

The series is over and I am heartbroken.  I will miss the characters, and Ms Godbersen - if you ever come across this (YEA RIGHT) I would love a where they ended in the future update... Pretty pretty please??? There was so much more room for books... Im greedy - I want more! (From www.bytseries.com)

THE LUXE
The beautiful young Holland sisters, Elizabeth and Diana, are at the pinnacle of Manhattan society. Or so it appears. When they discover their status is far from secure, everyone, from their trusted servants, to their friends and lovers, seems to threaten their golden future.

RUMORS
In this delicious sequel to The Luxe, Manhattan's most dazzling socialites discover that money matters and breeding counts, but in 1899, ambition and well-played gossip trump all. May the best scandal win!

ENVY
Nineteenth century Manhattan offers so much to envy— glamorous couples in lavish mansions and socialites in luxurious gowns—but nothing is quite what it seems. The most practiced smiles hide the most delicious secrets, and, to every gossip's delight, when the wealthy stop smiling, they start talking . . .

SPLENDOR
In the dramatic conclusion to the Luxe series, New York's most dazzling socialites chase dreams, cling to promises and tempt fate. Society follows the fortunes of its favorite sons and daughters from Manhattan to Paris, and home again, where the truth reveals itself.
