Dont Judge Me! ~ Im catching up to the times!

I bought, and held onto all of the Harry Potter books for ages.  A couple years ago my sister, Bean, asked me to hand them off to her so she would be able to read Whorey Putter (kids say the darndest things) to my niece/Godchild.  I passed them off - all the while having never read them.  I have also never seen the movies.  I have tried - I think I may have at one point gotten through the first one - but thats as far as it went.  So here I am - diving into books that my local librarian tells me children devour.

My 13th book of 2014 is Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone.  It was super cute and made me dive into number two.

My 14th book of 2014 is Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. I liked the first one better, but Im still interested.  After this I am definitely going to have to watch the movies :)

Book 15 took me to a different author - Doug Magee.  The book NEVER WAVE GOODBYE was a story of an outlandish kidnapping of four kids off to camp.  I needed something to listen to during work so I went to my favorite source - the overdrive app linked to our local Broward County Library.  It was just so far fetched and some parts drug on so long and were so pointless.  Since it was a simple quick audio I didnt abandon the book as I should have - but the voice narration was nice and even.  Meh on the story.

16. BEAT UNTIL STIFF by Claire M Johnson was a murder mystery revoloving around key players in a San Francisco restaurant.  I liked it.  It was chick-flick esque.  It was not very scary and it was really quick.  Wondering if there are more on the way?

17.  THE ELITE by Kiera Cass - Originally I said I was not going to continue reading this trilogy because the authors agent feels its appropriate to bash a person for writing an honest review of a book in her own opinion.  I really dont appreciate the thought that because I didnt enjoy a book that was supposed to be dystopian but really isnt in my opinion should land me name calling from an authors agent.  Are we in highschool?  Anywho, I needed and audio book and it was available so I gave it a shot.  Mostly I just roll my eyes at the character names and want to smack the ridiculous whiney wishwashy America Singer (who is a... clerk? farmer? librarian? - nope a Singer).  I wish there was more info about the dystopian nature of the country.
