A quick Amazon Search can give you all the review details you need on these books I have read since September. Sadly, there are not as many as there should be. I am at 35 books for the year and with a goal of 52, I do not think I will reach the finish line. Seventeen books to read before December 31st just seems unattainable.
This has been a helluva year. I am looking forward to the next two months flying by and starting fresh in 2014. Will I ever reach my goal to read 100 books in one year? Will I ever be able to focus long enough to complete all the projects I want to get done? I have been Bob Ross method painting, I worked a TON of overtime the end of the summer, I have a container full of baby alpaca yarn waiting to be knitted up for gifts and some days I am so overwhelmed by my life I can only close my eyes at the end of the day and be happy I made it through another 24 hours. Someday's I wonder if i actually made it or just winged the whole day.
Anyhow, there is where I am. I hate to think any year of my life is a waste, but really - I accomplished nothing this year but a very real nervous breakdown and learning to better fake it till I make it.
31. Lost & Found In Cedar Cove by Debbie Macomber
A quick short story that did not focus to heavily on the Cedar Cove usual's.
32. Rose Harbor In Bloom by Debbie Macomber
A good continuation of the Inn At Rose Harbor Series. I love the Cedar Cove characters.
33. Red Sparrow by Jason Matthews
Acquiring this book was pretty funny. I heard him give an interview on NPR and in a Benadryl hazeI ended up falling asleep thinking I needed to buy the book. I had a dream that night that I could not get the book to open on my kindle. The next afternoon I went onto Amazon to buy the book only to realize I had already purchased it... In the middle of the night!!!! It was a good book that focused a good bit on forbidden love - two people who should not, for various reasons, want to be involvedwith each other but end up in a passionate relationship. Plus I love a good CIA story. I hope this turns into a series or trilogy or something. I have not found anything on it yet though.
34. Blue By You by Rachel Gibson
Crap. Sorry - but its true.
35. The Heavens Rise by Christopher Rice
It was not his usual plot line - and I was so skeptical because I am not into supernatural but it was good. I can say for sure supernatural is not my cup of tea but I can always appreciate a well written novel. This is no different. I recommend for anyone who is unsure of Supernatural - its not SO out there that you cant follow along. Its a good dip your toe in for a newb.
I have a couple books queued up in my Kindle and a 2 hour flight home to Miami from Atlantic City on Monday so here is hope i can five my hands a rest from knitting/crocheting/painting for the next two months and pick up my nook and dive in. I still have a ton of old books I have yet to start and new ones rolling out all the time I keep forgetting to add to my wishlist.
