I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE my Nook! One of the greatest features for me is the ability to download books from the library. I love that I can log in and just download a book, take it out for a week or two (I only go for one since I dont need more than that) and its FREE! Free is good because Im cheap, and because I love that Im supporting my library but I dont have to leave the house since Im lazy! So if you have a nook, please take advantage of this service. And if your library does not support downloads through overdrive, then please ask them to do so, or you can join the Philadelphia free library for a 15.00 per year and download all you want! ($15.00 is still cheaper than the price of a hardback new release!)
Anyway, the point of my library soapbox is that I didnt have anything to download because I was waiting for my stuff to become available (Im waitlisted). I missed the 2 day window to download the next Millennium book so I needed to revisit an oldie. I decided to go with the Twilight books. So of course, I have started at the beginning with Twilight.
I am really so embarassed still that I love this series. I am NOT into Vampire stories, and lets be honest, if I were I would be reading Anne Rice before some teenage angst love story book! For me, its a quick read (but then again what isnt) and I enjoy the love story (I am a sap for a love story). I know it isnt all intellectual, or an awe-inspiring piece, but I do fall into the story like I am there. There are a few phrases that Stephanie Meyer over-uses and that does kind of annoy me but I can over look that.
I am without my beloved Mac for the next couple of days since the husband hijacked it since his is in the shop (convenient since he is away for a Coast Guard conference) so I am going to have to head back into the series since I finished another book today (see next blog).
So, if you run out of books, please dont forget to revisit the ones you love, I guarentee you will pick up something different each time you read it.
